CLVFA Minutes

October 7, 2007

Attendance:

Meeting called to order @ 1:10pm

Jennifer read the previous (July 15th) minutes and were unanimously approved @ 1:14pm

New Business

* Motion made to purchase AED. 1 for the Upper Firehouse and 1 for the Lower (Motion approved, not to exceed $2500)
    - Kylee will look into options, ie. supplier, costs, etc.
 
* Recieved grant from the Fireman's Fund Ins. for $26k. Not to be spent "at will". Per the Fireman's Fund condition, we are to spend money only on the list of needed equipment based off the list Kylee provided to them during the Grant Nomination process (list on file) Old Business

* Kylee is rewriting the CLVFA guidelines
    - Denise will post on the website when finished

* Equipment purchase update
    - Only boots are left to purchase off the spending spree that the board approved at the previous meeting
    - Radio's, Landing lights , etc will be purchased off the next grant received

* Fundraising Comittee
    - Wants to raffle Summit Store items and will discuss w/Summit Store

* Communications Committee - Will get together bi-annually to discuss Newsletters

* Gate Committee
    - Upper gate needs minimal repair
    - Awaiting written approval from Pat Congden to install the orange gate
    - Board approved to tentatively schedule the orange gate installation for Nov 25th based on the above
    - Lower LC gate still to be discussed. Suggesting moving it back to near Dagleish's property

* Corporation Committee
    - Definition of objectives still need to be defined
    - Denise to write, committee to approve
    - Community to vote on once finalized General Discussion

* Casa Loma residents, Keith & Courtney Adamo, said they'd have a fundraiser for us at the Horseman's Assoc. Our fundraising committee needs to get together with them to discuss

* Denise set up an account (free) on GoogleDocs for access to Board members only to view/update resident info; names, address's, phone #'s, etc.

* Denise updated the CLVFA website

* FDID # finally issued to us

* Potluck is scheduled for Dec 15th (community event, not f'raising)
    - David said they'll bring 2 turkeys, ham or beef
